UK PREDIABETES SUPPORT

Let's Beat This!

Just been diagnosed with prediabetes?

No doubt you are feeling scared and overwhelmed.

Been told by the practice nurse or GP a huge long list of foods you can't eat and feel like you aren't going to be able to enjoy food ever again.

Not been told anything and left to fend for yourself.

No need to be worried.  This can be fixed with a little bit of work and effort.

You will still be able to eat most foods by making some lifestyle changes and be able to slip in the odd treat now and again.

Many people have been in the same boat and are looking for answers so we have tried to address some of those here.

This website is run by people who have been there and experienced prediabetes.  This site is based on information we've found along the way in what worked for us and what didn't.

About Me

This site has been built on a journey of being diagnosed prediabetic.

My world fell apart as I sat in the GPs listening to the nurse reel off a list of things I shouldn't eat.  I came home feeling completely deflated......

Hopefully reading this site will let you see that it isn't the end of the world and there is life after diagnosis.  Everything on here is our own experiences and those of our Facebook forum participants who are willing to share their concerns, questions and answers to what they've found good and bad.  This site has been developed to provide people with information on prediabetes, but is not a substitute for full medical advice which should be sought from your GP or other suitably qualified medical professional.
